The Plover River Crossing Trail Spur, a new 1/3 mile spur trail connecting the east side of Stevens Point to the Green Circle Trail and the City’s west side, is now open. The 12 ft. wide paved segment features a 110 ft. bridge and 700 ft. boardwalk that traverses diverse natural habitats. Also serving as a year-round commuter route for hikers and bikers, the segment will be plowed in the winter months. It can be accessed from the south end of the Green Circle Trail’s Plover River Trail segment, or from Peters Family Park on Ben’s Lane near the intersection with Golla Road.
